FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: What do the Rental Fees include?
When renting the CAVT Museums for your special event you
receive the use of the facility for your private event, photography and the option to entertain
outdoors. The rental fees also include room rental, the option for a docent-led
tour of the home or garden and initial set up and use of
tables and chairs. The CAVT Museums also provides on-site
event supervisors to ensure your event runs smoothly from
set up to breakdown.
Q: Is parking provided?
Both Museums are located in urban neighborhoods that provide street parking. Please ask the Events Manager for parking options. Valet parking may be arranged for either location.
Q: Am I required to use a caterer from your Approved
Caterers & Bartenders List?
Yes. The Museums are delicate facilities and each caterer
on our list understands the particular rules and limitations
that are required of them. Each vendor also has liability
insurance on file with us. We have a very extensive list of some of the best caterers in the city
and we have no doubt that any one of them will make your
event a memorable one.
Q: Can I have my event in the Renaissance Garden?
We do not allow the Garden to be rented for
private events. We welcome you to use the Garden for your
photography, tours or enjoyment, but we do not allow tables,
chairs or tenting in the Garden.
Q: Why do you allow dancing and full bar receptions at the Allis, but not the Villa?
The Villa Terrace is a delicate facility with a fragile collection of decorative arts. Wedding receptions are traditionally higher maintenance than other events. Due to the small size of our staff and the delicate nature of our facility and collections we have made the decision that is best for the preservation of the Museum. Ask the Events Manager about our Wedding Packages.
Q: Will you hold a date for me?
Unfortunately due to the high volume of requests for dates
that we get each day we cannot put dates on hold for your
wedding or event. A date is confirmed with a signed contract
and a deposit. See our Facilities Use Policies, Procedures
and Agreement for more information.
Q: What are your beverage service policies?
Our exclusive bar service is provided by Ellen Zilli's Catering. All alcohol must be contracted through Ellen Zilli's. Contact information is provided on the Approved Caterer List.
From weddings that hearts remember to meetings that accomplish missions, the Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum is the perfect place for your next special event.
