Art Course: Art in the Garden –
Drawing and Watercolor for Adults
DATES: Wednesday, July 16 and Wednesday, July 23 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Instructor: Leon Travanti, Professor Emeritus, University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee
We will encourage participants to explore drawing and painting in the two museum gardens, as well as the unique architectural vistas of the Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum, 2220 N. Terrace Ave (a few blocks south of Milwaukee’s historic Water Tower at North Ave and Terrace Ave). If weather is a problem, we will work in the covered cloister garden or within the museum.

First come, first serve. Required enrollment by June 22.

Where and What:
We will draw both outside and indoors, utilizing the Renaissance and Cloister Gardens. Participants bring their own watercolor paints, tools, papers, plastic water jug, rags, etc.
Both novice and experienced artists are welcome for this two session workshop.
Travanti will work individually with each person. He suggests drawing and watercolor techniques emphasizing those qualities which most effectively enhance the individual’s vision and potential as an artist.
